Robin,

Ursa has made HUGE strides since her last visit with you and Robert.
She backs off completely if I tell her "enough" and has let multiple
people touch her (against my instructions to the contrary!). Her
"place" command is so rock solid that once time I forgot that I had
placed her, went upstairs and came back down 20 minutes later to find
her still waiting for me!

Hi Robin,

I just wanted to finally check in with you regarding Molly's progress. We just came back from our camp in Maine and Molly behaved so well. We were so proud of her. There were even two other dogs up there this year, which she did not know and she played with them in our yard the whole time. We didn't even have to use the button on the collar very much. It's like a dream come true. I just wanted to thank you for all your help with her. It sure makes a difference. Enjoy the rest of the Summer.

We contacted Robin when it became apparent that we could not train our Maltese mix on our own, being first time dog owners.  Robin's response to our e-mail request was prompt and she scheduled an appointment right away.   her very reasonable fee is for one hour of training, but she always gives us more time at no charge, and we certainly appreciate that.

Robin is extremely knowledgeable and has lots of experience and patience.   her personality is very warm and kind.   Robin has trained us to train our dog and we couldn't be more pleased.  Scooter has made great progress in just a few weeks.  We would highly recommend Robin Rubin to anyone who wants to have a "mannerly mutt".

To Whom It May Concern:

When I first began discussing training options with Robin of Mannerly Mutts, the e-collar would have been the last thing I would have decided on.   As a dog lover, I just could not get my head around the idea of using this corrective collar in training my dog, Tyler.  Since I knew Robin's experience and love for her own dogs, I trusted her opinion and decided to go forward with the e-collar training.   I knew she would never suggest something that would be harmful to my dog, let alone any animal.

Robin worked with Tyler on the e-collar and sure enough began to see great results.  Before the e-collar, you could tell Tyler to come, he would stop in his tracks, look at you, and bolt the other way.   It wasn't because he didn't understand the command but that he knew there were no repercussions for his actions.   Once Tyler was trained with the e-collar, I was able to give him a command and he would follow the command every time.   Very rarely do I find myself even having to correct Tyler with the collar because he knows his commands and he listens now.

Since I have begun his training with Robin, Tyler is more disciplined and well behaved.   He is still the outgoing happy dog that he has always been now he just listens to what he is told.   It's a great relief to know that you actually have control of your dog and his actions, and I owe a big part of that to the e-collar training.

Sincerely,

Emily Howland

"Little devil": Robin has been our pet sitter/ dog walker for several months now. We FINALLY found her services after meeting practically every other dog walker in our area, and working with one who just couldn't handle Cerberus's "exuberant" German shepherd puppy behavior. Plus, he's had the added challenge of being born with elbow dysphasia, and needed two separate (very significant) surgeries, which required extended confinement time during his crucial puppy socialization years. This all has resulted in a dog who's sweet most of the time, but has some serious aggression issues part of the time.

Robin has been extremely trustworthy and dependable, and we feel completely at ease knowing that she's going to be checking in on our "wild" baby. We know she can handle his energy and the challenges he throws her way.

Recently we've consulted her for training advice regarding Cerbie's aggressive behavior, and she has proved to be extremely caring and patient with us. She has seen our unique predicament and has adapted training to suit our personalities (as owners) and Cerbie's personality (as a mostly sweet/ sometimes aggressive 1 year old shepherd.) She has encouraged us and made us feel she really cares and is 100% there for us- which has made us feel able to handle the challenges this dog has brought to us. With Robin's encouragement we have found new hope for our little devil!!

Young dog - "older parents": Thanks to Robin and her great teaching ability, we were able to get our field spaniel, Maggie, which we got as a rescue, trained and become "super queen" of the house. Everyone one loves her. Robin's ability with animals and their owners is amazing. Made a "mystery" job easy.

Couldn't recommend her more, just sad that she left central MA and is now in Maine, but at least we can visit.

Lifesaver: Robin saved the life of my 8 year old springer. The dog had suddenly begun attacking her sister. Our vet told us we would have to put her down or give away the other dog. Robin was able to train them (and us) as well as to give us some excellent advice about geriatric health care. We have our happy home back, now. Additionally, her boarding is like sending them to a spa! They receive wonderful, loving treatment and training reinforcement.
