Robin Rubin, owner and head trainer at Mannerly Mutts Dog Training, teaches owners how  to build a relationship beneficial to themselves and their canine companions.  This business has experience with behaviorally challenged canines and multi dog household problems, in addition to training the average dog or puppy.

Robin began her education in dog training by apprenticing at Doberman Rescue Unlimited during 2003. She earned her professional membership in the International Association of Canine Professionals in 2007. Furthering her dog training education is a main goal every year.  Dog training seminars attended in the past have included Margot Woods Back to Basics School, Martin Deeley, Behesha Doan (formally Grist), Introduction to Tracking with the Vermont Tracking Club, and Carolyn Scott’s Freestyle Dance Seminar.  Seminars that are of special interest are those that allow you to bring and work with dogs.

In the year 2010 her goals are to perfect handling ability of dogs in the obedience ring. Mannerly Mutts is considering starting an obedience club in the area where owners and trainers can use their own methods and tools. Robin is also submitting her applications to be certified by the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors and the International Association of Canine Professionals.

Robin started her adult life in a different field altogether, which was  working for a certified public accounting firm and later working as a Controller for corporate manufacturing companies. While she was very talented and productive in that role, Ms Rubin began yearning to do something that made a difference beyond the corporate world. Her life long love of dogs and volunteering with rescue dogs eventually led her into this career path as a dog trainer.

When not working with dogs, Robin and her husband, Robert, enjoy skiing, antiquing, concerts, hiking, and boogey boarding. Their family currently one Doberman. Leon is a four-year-old red Doberman, who became a family member at 11 weeks old. Jack is a four and a half year old red male Doberman, who was adopted from Doberman Rescue in Sandown NH at 2 years old, and died due to complications after a hair ball removal in 12/24/2009 before his sixth birthday. Jazz is a fifteen year old black female Doberman, who was adopted at three years old from a breeder.   Recently Jazz passed away just a few days shy of her sixteenth birthday on 12/31/2008.  Neptune, a nine year old male Doberman, was adopted from Doberman Rescue in Sandown NH at 2 years old, and passed away due to complications of heart medications on 12/21/2004 at the age of nine years.  Clearly, December is not a lucky month for Mannerly Mutt's beloved canines.

These dogs will all be held in the hearts and minds of their owners forever.   Their lessons, love, and loyalty will not die, and will be cherished and remembered throughout their owners lifetimes.
